Almost a great show!
The show opened with Tesla, a really good performance with clear sound. Poison followed as the 2nd act, but the sound was atrocious with distorted vocals and no midrange frequencies. It was hard to understand what they were saying. I suspect Poison may have upset the sound guys, as they cut the mids and boosted the gain resulting in very bad sound. Aries Spears delivered a fantastic performance with clear sound, polished harmonies, and great performance. They were a well-oiled machine hitting on all cylinders. Joe Elliot hit all the high notes, the guitarists were brilliant, and the drums and bass were top-notch. Every nuance of the performance was audible, including the cymbals, kick drum, pick scrapes, and bass.
